The Betty Outten Learning Center
The Betty Outten Learning Center (OLC) is a high-tech, yet old-fashioned one-room schoolhouse! Books, materials, computers, teachers, and aides are provided. The OLC helps students with diverse schedules, learning styles, educational needs and abilities. Each year over 1,000 students are welcomed to this open entry/exit high school diploma and GED program. Here, students may study at their own pace under the guidance of teachers and aides.
Who may attend the OLC? Almost anyone who is motivated to learn is eligible to attend the OLC! All students must be able to speak and to read English at an appropriate level (If you are unable to do this, don't despair! We can refer you to the Literacy Center or one of our many ESL classes!).
Where is the OLC located? The OLC is located at Long Beach School for Adults, Willow Campus (click here for map).
When is the OLC open? Morning Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday Evening Hours: 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday
