GED Program - GED Testing - Long Beach School for Adults

 

 

How GED Testing works:

 

How to register for GED testing:

  • You do not need an appointment to register, however, no one will be admitted late.

  • You will register on the same day you take your first test

  • Please see GED Flyer belowfor testing registration information.

Testing requirements:

  • You must be within 60 days of your 18th birthday, or older, to register and test.

  • You must have a valid CA ID, Driver's License, Military ID or Passport.

Fees:

  • Test fee is $150.00 correct Cash ONLY, VISA AND Mastercard accepted.

Testing Dates:

  • Please see GED Flyer below for fall term testing dates/times.

  • No one admitted late to testing.

Testing:

  • You will be testing approximately 4.5 hours each day. You will take Writing and Math on one day, and Science, Social Studies and Reading on another day.

  • You may take the GED test one section at a time.

  • You have six months from the date you register to complete and pass your entire GED test without incurring additional fees.

Special Accommodations:

  • Testing accommodations are available for GED candidates with disabilities.

  • All accommodations must be pre-approved by the CA Department of Education prior to testing.

  • Approval time takes approximately four to six weeks.

Viewing your GED Test Scores:

If you tested in the last 60 days you may check your test scores online by going to the state of California website:  https://gedcalifornia.ets.org

You must have your PIN number to access your scores. You entered your six digit PIN number when you registered for the GED test.

The Long Beach School for Adults GED Testing is not allowed to keep any record of your PIN number. If you do not remember your PIN number you must come in person to the Long Beach School for Adults to check scores Wednesday or Thursday between noon and 5:00 PM.
