WHERE ARE YOU
LOCATED
Our main office is at 3701 E.
Willow Street between Lakewood Blvd and Redondo in Long Beach,
CA 90815. We are right across the street from the Long Beach
DMV. We also have a second campus in Long Beach located at 1794
Cedar Avenue (cross streets are Cedar and Pacific Coast
Highway).

DO I ENROLL IN ADULT SCHOOL?
You may register in-person only
with cash, money order, Visa or Mastercard.

HOW OLD DO
I HAVE TO BE TO ENROLL?
You must be an adult which is any
person 18 years old or older.

HOW MUCH
AND WHEN DO I PAY FOR CLASSES?
You pay for your classes at the
time of enrollment. Please see

WHAT IS
YOUR REFUND POLICY?
A full refund will only be given if
class is cancelled by the Long Beach School for Adults.
Materials fees are non-refundable. The Long Beach School for
Adults reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet
minimum enrollment standards.

DO I NEED
TO BUY MATERIALS FOR CLASSES?
Students may be asked to purchase a
book and/or materials for some classes. Requirements of a class
should be checked before enrolling. There are no student loans
available for any materials. Cash, Visa or Mastercard only: no
checks. Books are sold on the LBSA Willow campus. The price of
books ranges from $8 to $52.

SHOULD I
GET MY HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED?
We recommend that you schedule an
appointment with our counselor to help you make an informed

WHAT AND
WHEN ARE THE TABE TESTS?
TABE is the Test of Adult Basic
Education. This test is a reading comprehension assessment and
helps us get you in the classes that are best for you. TABE
tests are required for enrollment in our High School Diploma and
GED Programs, and some of the Career Training Classes. TABE
tests are given during the enrollment period. Click here for information on TABE testing days and times.

DO YOU HAVE
FINANCIAL AID?
Unfortunately, LBSA is not able to
offer financial aid to students. If you are part of a government
program, please see your case worker for possible other options.

DO YOU HAVE
BABYSITTING?
There are Headstart programs on the
Willow campus and at various locations throughout Long Beach. Children are not permitted in any Long
Beach School for Adults class except where they are a part of
the class setting.

DO YOU HAVE
SECURITY?
Long Beach School for Adults has
school security officers at all of their class location sites.

ARE THERE
ANY OTHER POLICIES AT LBSA?
Basic rules and regulations of the
district are enforced, including the district-wide dress code
and non-smoking policy. The Long Beach School Unified School
District recognizes its responsibility
to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
governing educational programs. In accordance with state
guidelines, the District has Complaint Procedures. You may contact the
Long Beach School for Adults Office for a copy the policy. All students
must carry a current photo ID at all times on any LBSA campus.
