History and Mission of the EBA

The History of the Education Business Advisory began in the fall of 2009 as part of Long Beach Unified School District's larger strategic plan to help ensure that all students graduate from high school with options to pursue various academic and career pathways.

The mission of the EBA is to create partnerships with community, business and educational institutions to provide real learning experiences through the integration of academic and technical content, reinforced through work-based learning. In order to prepare students for the 21st Century the need for a business advisory became essential. Thus, the Education Business Advisory was created.
