My School Bucks Update:

9/15/14: My School Bucks accounts have been updated and transactions from last week should be reflected on your child's school account. As of Monday, September 15, 2014, payments on your child's My School Bucks account should be reflected at your child's cafeteria account within 2 days from date of purchase. Please check your child's My School Bucks account for current status. All extensions of credit beyond normal procedures will cease following lunch service on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Students who have negative balances as of Wednesday, will receive a written notice requesting repayment to the school cafeteria. Thank you for your patience while we worked to resume normal operations.

9/12/14, 3:30 p.m.: The District connection with My School Bucks has been made and the data transfer is in progress and should be completed tonight. Please check your student’s account balance in My School Bucks over the weekend. The success of the data transfer will be evaluated on Monday, 9/15/14.  If the transfer is determined to be complete, the temporary extension of credit to paid students at all grade levels will end after meal service on Tuesday, 9/13/14.  Elementary students will be allowed to charge meals on their accounts, not to exceed $10.00.  If you are still encountering problems with your child’s account, please email Darlene Martin at dmartin@lbschools.net.

9/11/14: A problem has been identified with the cafeteria point of service system. It is not sending or receiving account updates from My School Bucks. We are working to resolve the problem. Students will be allowed to charge their meals to their cafeteria accounts, at all grade levels, until this problem is resolved and meal payment information is transferred. The transfer of meal payment details from My School Bucks to the school cafeterias should resolve most negative balances caused by this problem. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any hardship this may have caused you or your child. Students who have a negative balance on their accounts after the transfer is completed, will be sent a letter, requesting that the payment be made to the cafeteria for meals received without payment. If you need additional information, you may call Darlene Martin, Nutrition Services Director, at 562-427-7923, extension 250. Updates will be posted as they become available.

Long Beach Unified School District receives an A- from Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). Click here to read the November 5, 2012 news release from PCRM.
