Cabrillo's College Bound Jaguars

More than 100 recently installed street banners celebrate Cabrillo High School's Class of 2018.

The banners are displayed in West Long Beach on and near Santa Fe Avenue and Willow Street.  Each banner is individualized with the photo of a recent graduate, indicating where the student is attending college this fall.

Cabrillo also debuted a 6-minute promotional video (included with this article and available at lbschools.net/cabrillo) for the start of the new school year.

Cabrillo's efforts to promote a college-going culture at the school are paying off, with the school's graduation rate now approaching 90 percent.  Cabrillo also has earned national recognition for its career/technical education and was listed among the top 12 percent of the nation's high schools by the Washington Post, based upon college preparatory programs.
