The Long Beach Branch NAACP will offer a Dialogue for Youth of Color with Law Enforcement from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m., and a reception from 4:30 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 19 at Ernest McBride Sr. Park, 1550 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Long Beach. Participating agencies include the Long Beach Police Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol and the Long Beach Unified School District.
The goal of the event is to seek proactive solutions and strategies that will enable law enforcement and communities of color to work together, developing trust, respect and effective communication to create a safe, inclusive community. RSVPs are required for attendance and must be submitted by March 15.
